Seasons & Ranking

30-day seasons: burn catnip for points, the season pot, prizes, the raffle and the Catnip Swap.

Every 30 days the garden runs a season: wallets compete by burning catnip, and the season pot is paid out in $USDG on the last day.

#Seasons

  • Each season lasts 30 days. Season 1 starts the day the game opens.
  • Points reset at the start of every season.

#Points

1 point per kg of catnip burned during the season. Everything that burns catnip counts:

  • Police fuel (raw catnip and Catnip Concentrate)
  • Factory boost
  • Bonfire: a new action, open to every class, that burns catnip just for points

The ranking is per wallet. Points from every NFT in the wallet add up, the wallet appears once and takes one rank prize. Splitting NFTs across wallets only spreads the points.

  • Each NFT keeps playing its own class. The wallet only groups points, prizes and the swap limit.
  • Cops never raid gardens or factories from their own wallet.
  • An NFT transferred mid-season leaves the points it made with the old wallet and scores for the new one from then on.
  • Bonfire purchases on the Catnip Market are capped at 50% of the catnip available that day, so Farmers' deliveries are never bought out.

#The season pot

SourceShare
Catnip Swap50% of the $USDG paid
Rewards Pool10% of the daily payout
Treasury marketing share25% of it during the season

The pot follows activity and the size of the pool. It is not a fixed prize, and it shrinks when the pool shrinks.

#Prizes

WhoShare of the potHow it's split
Season raffle10%Equal, up to 50 wallets drawn among all wallets that burned catnip
Ranks 1–1036% (40% of the rest)Decreasing: rank k gets (11 − k) / 55
Ranks 11–10031.5% (35% of the rest)Equal among the 90
Ranks 101–50022.5% (25% of the rest)Equal among the 400
  • Season raffle. One ticket per wallet, no matter how many NFTs it holds or how much it burned. Each winner gets at least 20 USDG dollar worth of $USDG; if the raffle share can't cover that, fewer wallets are drawn. Winners are picked with the hash of a future block announced in advance, like the allowlist raffle, so anyone can re-run the draw. A wallet can win the raffle and a rank prize.
  • Ranks count wallets, not NFTs. Any share left without an owner (fewer than 500 ranked wallets, or raffle leftovers) goes back to the Rewards Pool.

#Catnip Swap

Players can swap $USDG for catnip directly with the game.

Price1.5× the value of a kg that day (more expensive than buying from Farmers)
Where the $USDG goes50% burned · 50% to the season pot
Limit20 kg per day per NFT in the wallet
UseFuel, factory boost and Bonfire. Swapped catnip can't be resold

#Simulated

Seasons were simulated over 90 days (3 seasons) with all 7,777 NFTs spread across wallets of 1 to 20 NFTs, three meme volume levels and 0% to 50% of wallets competing. The 8 balance tests passed in every scenario. Wallets holding many NFTs lead the top ranks; the season raffle roughly doubles the share of the pot that reaches single-NFT wallets. Prizes depend on activity and are never guaranteed.
